The Namibian Association of Metal Fabrication (NAMF) had its first foreign meeting with its Latvian counterparts: the Association of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industries of Latvia, barely a day after its official inauguration.
Relationship building and long term cooperation were the main discussion points. The NAMF Management Committee Chairperson Mr. Brian Christian and Association of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industries of Latvia Chairman, Mr. Toms Grinfelds agreed to explore beneficial partnerships on behalf of their respective members.
Mr. Christian promised to stay in touch with Mr. Grinfelds, as NAMF which was only founded on 21 September 2017 had much to learn from its Latvia counterpart which has been in existence since 1994.
The meeting which was held on the 19th April 2018 was the result of a coincidence, when the foreign delegation from Latvia, came across the NAMF Secretariat setting up for their inauguration at the same restaurant they were having lunch at.
